I’m not the comic book guy (even though i love him) and for me this is the most usable website ever.
I kid you not, Kinda. Check out why after the break.

This new category of post will be a simple collection of great stuff I found scavenging the web like Lara Croft back in the days or simply receiving into my Reader.
I thought I’d pass it along.
So here we go for this week, I’ll share some good IA and infographics resources, got an interesting article about “Learning UX”, some insight of how the DoomsDay Clock came to life and also other bits.
It’s all after the break.

After much reviewing, user feedback gathering, I’ve redesign the site, but only slightly.
I wanted to make the pages clearer, give more prominence to the subject and have a more streamlined/consistent approach between the various sections.

What is it you might ask me? Well it’s simple, I’m giving a “face-lift” to some website, web applications or any type of interface I come across while browsing.
It’s simple, a “face-lift” is me trying to make the interface more usable, easier to use and somehow enjoyable (I’ll try prettier but that’s a matter of taste isn’t it?)
I’m using simple usability techniques, a quick mock-up/prototype and some bullet points to highlights the before after.
But there is a trick: I only “face-lift” website that I actually use and I’m only giving me a few hours to get that done.
My first face-lift is today: http://pavei.cappelen.no/15/8.html
See the face-lift after the jump.

Alright, now it’s time  give you list of  my best 2009 songs:
They are in alphabetical order only cause they are all great in their own purpose. And they might not be the song I listened to the most this year, but the one that came out.

Hi there, today and for the coming days I will start showing you some of the best links from 2009.
By best, I mean my own best of, and I’ll get a bit further than just UX, interaction and all.
So let’s get started with the google wave 2009 farewell video:

Today I’m going to give a quick run through the FrenchBeauty website creation.
I’ll give you an overview of my methodology, and off course will put the project in context. Then I’ll look into the UX tools I used such as Personas and Wireframe.
I tried to make it clear and concise, with some nice visuals, as sometimes pictures are worth a 1000 words.
Well, if you’re ready, it all happens after the break.

Well, if you’ve read a bit about me, you know that I intend to make people happy.
I explain that with the “magic formula”. Well, I’m not the only one thinking like that. And that’s re-assuring.
Well, David Heinemeier Hansson who just happen to be the creator of the immensely popular Ruby on Rails programming framework, and partner with the ever clever and cult 37signals, thinks that making people happy is the reason “why we’re all here and why we’re all working in software or working anywhere, for that matter”.

Google largest website on the planet (maybe of the universe) Â might be on the verge of a quiet redesign. Currently on test, not everything will make it to the final release, but there’s no way I’m not looking into what might be the biggest “unnoticed change” this year.
Google is well known for its common sense approach and clever usability design. (They basically offer a text box on a white background). And beside the unstoppable amount of new applications released daily. The king of search hasn’t really changed anything in its core design.
So what will the new google be made of? Let’s find out.

On Saturday, I went to the Doga to attend a few screening part of the Oslo international film festival.
The day was focus on the world as we know it, i.e. full of product and brands, all built by designers and brought to us by madmen (advertising talents actually, not only from Madison Av, NY).
The first flim to start the session was “Logorama” from French Studio H5,  straight forward cop chase vilain with city destruction scenario; but assembling the most  well-know cast on earth: the brands logos. Continue reading
