Scary Browsers (& Super Links)

Scary Browsers (and Super Links) N°4 – 21/02/2010

A simple collection of great stuff I found scavenging the web or simply receiving into my Reader.

I thought I’d pass it along.

Hi Folks, after reviewing a bit of my stats and doing some hard thinking, I think I’ll keep my Scary Browser (and super links) section quick and snappy.

I’ll extract the articles I found more interesting and they’ll get a post all for themselves. :)

This week we’ll find a great matrix comparing social media today, some cyber spy rumours, why Windows can be sexy in your hand, some bike tidbits and how fun can improve your design.

It’s all after the break.

Scary Browsers (& Super Links)

Scary Browsers (and Super Links) N°2 – 25/01/2010

A simple collection of great stuff I found scavenging the web or simply receiving into my Reader.

I thought I’d pass it along.

So here we go for this week, I’ll show how to make the Beatles pretty, and strongly encourage you to read a book. I also had a dream about the future of bike lanes, give you some great music for free and explain you that you’re not likely to be eaten alive, in-flight by mega shark. And all of this is free, unlike the NYtimes. :)

It’s all after the break.

Scary Browsers (& Super Links)

This new category of post will be a simple collection of great stuff I found scavenging the web like Lara Croft back in the days or simply receiving into my Reader.

I thought I’d pass it along.

So here we go for this week, I’ll share some good IA and infographics resources, got an interesting article about “Learning UX”, some insight of how the DoomsDay Clock came to life and also other bits.

It’s all after the break.

2010: a subtle design upgrade

Welcome to the new and improved stratosferik.com but that’s only a start.

After much reviewing, user feedback gathering, I’ve redesign the site, but only slightly.

I wanted to make the pages clearer, give more prominence to the subject and have a more streamlined/consistent approach between the various sections.

frenchbeauty.ie

Update: Read the Case Study for Frenchbeauty here

This website was a very challenging and motivational project on a tight deadline.

We set-up with Diane (Owner and founder) a very close project relationship to deliver an enticing and professional online “vitrine”. The visual design and layout needed to reflect the feeling of quality of the service and clarity of offers and price. Basically, the website was designed to suit the targeted customer: “elegant and refined”.
This was a new business so clarity of code was essential and SEO optimisations were fully integrated in the development phase.

The website frenchbeauty.ie has been re-designed (not by me) in 2009.
